These terms and conditions, as may be amended from time to time apply to all types of services MyUniHostels.com (“MyUniHostels.com”, “we”, “us”, “our” or “ours”) offer, both direct or indirect made available online, through any mobile device, by accessing, browsing and using our Website or any of our applications through whatever platform (hereafter collectively referred to as the “Website”), by email or by telephone.
The terms “you”, “your”, “yourself”, “yours” and “customer” refer to the individual person or corporation who subscribes to our newsletters and offers, creates an account with us or makes a booking (whether complete/incomplete, successful/unsuccessful) through this Website. The terms “Final Party” and “Accommodation Provider” refer to the on-campus or off-campus accommodation service owner or provider (of any time or category) that is advertised on MyUniHostels.com regardless of whether a signed deal between us and them exists or does not. The term ‘facility’ or ‘facilities’ refers to the accommodation(s) or property(ies) that you have booked and not paid or paid for, have not moved into or have moved into. On-campus or off-campus accommodation is here after referred to as ‘accommodation.’
Terms and conditions may be revised and modified occasionally, hence, it is advisable not to just familiarise yourself with them at any point in time, but review them each and every time you use any of our services. Services (direct and indirect) apply to everything provided online, through mobile devices and computers of all platforms, by email, telephone, post or through direct contact with our officers.
The Website, application and services comprise an online platform through which accommodation providers may create listings for accommodations and ‘student(s)’ (hereafter may be referred to as ‘guest(s)’) may learn about and book accommodations directly with the accommodation providers. You understand and agree that MyUniHostels.com is not a party to any agreements entered into between accommodation providers and guests, nor is MyUniHostels.com a real estate broker, agent or insurer. MyUniHostels.com has no control over the conduct of accommodation providers, guests and other users of the Website, application and services or any accommodations, and disclaims all liability in this regard to the maximum extent permitted by law.
If you choose to have us create a listing on MyUniHostels.com for your facility, you understand and agree that your relationship with MyUniHostels.com is limited to being a member and an independent, third-party contractor, and not an employee, agent, joint venturer nor partner of MyUniHostels.com for any reason, and you act exclusively on your own behalf and for your own benefit, and not on behalf of or for the benefit of MyUniHostels.com. MyUniHostels.com does not control, and has no right to control, your listing, or any other matters related to any listing, that you provide. As a member you agree not to do anything to create a false impression that you are endorsed by, partnering with, or for the benefit of MyUniHostels.com, including by inappropriately using any MyUniHostels.com intellectual property.
Your utilisation of any of our services warrant that you will not make unlawful use of this Website or any contents and materials we provide through other means with which we correspond with you or final parties on your behalf.
Our Service Scope
Through the Website, we provide an online platform through which all types of temporary on-campus or off-campus student accommodation can be advertised, and through which visitors to the Website can make booking for a facility over a specified period as indicated on our Website or mobile device application.
By making a booking through us, you enter into a direct (legally binding) contractual relationship with the accommodation provider with which your booking is made to. The provision of these services are found on the Website through which you can book for your chosen accommodation. Right after your booking is placed, MyUniHostels.com acts simply as a mediator between you and the accommodation provider.
In order to access certain features of the Website and Application, and to book an Accommodation or create a Listing, you must register to create an account (“MyUniHostels.com Account“) and become a Member. You may register to join the Services directly via the Website or Application or as described in this section.
You can also register to join by logging into your account with certain third-party social networking Websites (“SNS“) (including, but not limited to, Facebook; each such account, a “Third-Party Account“), via our Website or Application, as described below. As part of the functionality of the Website, Application and Services, you may link your MyUniHostels.com Account with Third-Party Accounts, by either: (i) providing your Third-Party Account login information to MyUniHostels.com through the Website, Services or Application; or (ii) allowing MyUniHostels.com to access your Third-Party Account, as permitted under the applicable terms and conditions that govern your use of each Third-Party Account. You represent that you are entitled to disclose your Third-Party Account login information to MyUniHostels.com and/or grant MyUniHostels.com access to your Third-Party Account (including, but not limited to, for use for the purposes described herein), without breach by you of any of the terms and conditions that govern your use of the applicable Third-Party Account and without obligating MyUniHostels.com to pay any fees or making MyUniHostels.com subject to any usage limitations imposed by such third-party service providers. By granting MyUniHostels.com access to any Third-Party Accounts, you understand that MyUniHostels.com will access, make available and store (if applicable) any Content that you have provided to and stored in your Third-Party Account (“SNS Content“) so that it is available on and through the Website, Services and Application via your MyUniHostels.com Account and MyUniHostels.com Account profile page. Unless otherwise specified in these Terms, all SNS Content, if any, will be considered to be Member Content for all purposes of these Terms. Depending on the Third-Party Accounts you choose and subject to the privacy settings that you have set in such Third-Party Accounts, personally identifiable information that you post to your Third-Party Accounts will be available on and through your MyUniHostels.com Account on the Website, Services and Application. Please note that if a Third-Party Account or associated service becomes unavailable or MyUniHostels.com’s access to such Third-Party Account is terminated by the third-party service provider, then SNS Content will no longer be available on and through the Website, Services and Application. You have the ability to disable the connection between your MyUniHostels.com Account and your Third-Party Accounts, at any time, by accessing the “Settings” section of the Website and Application. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR THIRD-PARTY ACCOUNTS IS GOVERNED SOLELY BY YOUR AGREEMENT(S) WITH SUCH THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS. MyUniHostels.com makes no effort to review any SNS Content for any purpose, including but not limited to for accuracy, legality or non-infringement and MyUniHostels.com is not responsible for any SNS Content.
Your MyUniHostels.com Account and your MyUniHostels.com Account profile page will be created for your use of the Website and Application based upon the personal information you provide to us or that we obtain via an SNS as described above. You may not have more than one (1) active MyUniHostels.com Account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current and complete. MyUniHostels.com reserves the right to suspend or terminate your MyUniHostels.com Account and your access to the Website, Application and Services if you create more than one (1) MyUniHostels.com Account, or if any information provided during the registration process or thereafter proves to be inaccurate, fraudulent, not current, incomplete, or otherwise in violation of these Terms of Service.
You are responsible for safeguarding your password. You agree that you will not disclose your password to any third party and that you will take sole responsibility for any activities or actions under your MyUniHostels.com Account, whether or not you have authorized such activities or actions. You will immediately notify MyUniHostels.com of any unauthorized use of your MyUniHostels.com Account.
We pass along information you have provided towards placing a booking unto the final party and relay confirmation messages, updates and invoices back to you via SMS and/or email for and on their behalf. The accuracy of information provided on the Website is exclusive to the accommodation providers who are responsible for providing us with updates about their accounts with MyUniHostels.com on their current status. Though we aim to provide information about final parties which are as correct as possible, we will not confirm, neither will we guarantee that they are complete or accurate, nor can we be held responsible for any errors (including manifest and typographical errors), any interruptions (whether due to any (temporary and/or partial) breakdown, repair, upgrade or maintenance of our Website or otherwise), inaccurate, misleading or untrue information or non-delivery of information.
On-campus and off-campus accommodation recommendations on our Website or mobile device application are not given by us, although we will do our best to verify them and so, therefore cannot give assurance about them. We will only offer suggestions based on criteria provided by you, but choices made by you are entirely your decision and any disappointments that is met cannot amount to a liability that we would bear.
Price Guarantee & Currency Exchange Rates
We offer two ways to make payment. There is an option to pay directly into an account that would be provided in this situation, in which case, MyUniHostels.com cannot guarantee that your booking will be kept for you make the payment and it is confirmed, or that we will inform you about cancellations ahead of any such payment, and we are not responsible for any disappointments that may be faced by choosing this payment method or an accommodation provider that accepts only it. With some final party, you may be only able to make payment for your booking using this medium. You can make this kind of payment in three different ways: if you are not in Nigeria, an international bank transfer can be done, if you are situated anywhere within Nigeria, a local online bank transfer can be done or you may pay money directly into our bank account at any recognised branch of the bank we operate with.
The second payment option we offer is through the use of ATM Cards. You can pay with your ATM card through a third party link we provide on the Website or mobile device application. MyUniHostels.com does not process any other type of card payments, including credit card payments. Any amount charged to you will be in Nigerian Naira. Tax rates and foreign exchange rates could change in the time between booking and stay.
Duration of stay
This is set by each landlord and or property owner and not the responsibility of MyUniHostels. Ensure that you have checked the minimum duration of stay for a property before you confirm and pay for your booking.
Bond and refund
A bond is is the amount you have to pay on move-in, directly to the landlord, to cover for any potential damages that may occur during your stay. The landlord may also keep the security deposit if you leave earlier than agreed. If no damages occur, and you leave on the agreed move-out date, the deposit should be refunded in a way you both agree on.
The information about the deposit will be provided in the booking request and confirmation emails.
It is the right of the landlords and property owners to determine if they want a bond and at what rate/percentage in case of unforeseen damages to their properties. This bond shall be held by MyUniHostels to ensure equity between the tenant and the landlord. This bond shall be refundable upon determining that the tenant did not cause any damage to the property during the period of his or her stay.

We do not in any way imply an endorsement of the contents and operations on such Websites. MyUniHostels.com does not participate in their management and is not responsible for your use of these Websites.
Cancellation & no-show policy
Cancellation policies are two sides of a coin. By booking through MyUniHostels.com you accept both the cancellation and no-show terms of the accommodation provider and ours. MyUniHostels.com will give full refund of amount paid but not yet transferred to the accommodation provider. Refunds of money already paid to the final party will attract their cancellation/no-show charges and also have our delivery/execution of operations cost deducted. If you pay directly to the accommodation provider, MyUniHostels.com will not be accountable for or entitled to reimburse these types of payments and also payments made preceding your arrival at the facility. Any of such refunds that come through us are only so on request by the accommodation provider and are not in any way our obligation.
Accommodation providers can only apply cancellation charges to payments already received by them and are fully responsible for payments made directly by clients by either means of payment stated in the preceding section. To that end, we advice all final parties (having a signed deal with us or not) to ensure they provide alternative means of receiving long distance payments, much preferably in the form of a Nigerian Bank Account.
Refund of payment already paid to your preferred accommodation provider is subject to their cancellation/no show charge. Payment not paid to the accommodation at the time of cancellation attracts 100% refund.
Right after you make a booking through the Website or the mobile device application, we will send a confirmation of receipt of this request and send subsequent emails and SMSs to keep you updated on the booking progress. You will most likely confirm your booking over the phone and advise us on how you intend to make payment, if you have not already done so (Please note that some accommodation providers either do not reserve their spaces or cannot guaranty the availability of your desired room/suite/apartment without prepayment)
We will remain in touch with you from the day you make your booking, up until a week after you move in to your apartment/unit to ensure you had a pleasant experience. We also welcome your feedback on facility you stay in.
Customer Ratings and Reviews
Ratings and reviews of facilities are given by the public. MyUniHostels.com has no control over the rating tendencies and we cannot guarantee that the reviews are accurate or true, most of which are solely dependent on the likes and dislikes of the individual.
MyUniHostels.com bears no responsibility for any liability that may arise from the booking service, either to the accommodation provider, customer or any government agency.
